Job description
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chinese Language Instructor role based in Erbil. The instructor will deliver structured Chinese language lessons to learners at various proficiency levels, using effective teaching methods and engaging classroom activities. Daily responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons, developing teaching materials, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance, contributing to curriculum improvement, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure high-quality educational standards. The instructor is expected to create an inclusive, motivating learning environment that supports diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Qualifications and skills Candidates should possess strong skills in Language Teaching and Teaching, with the ability to facilitate interactive and learner-centered classes. Candidates should possess skills in Lesson Planning and Education, including designing structured curricula and adapting materials to different proficiency levels. Candidates should possess knowledge of Literature and Chinese cultural content to enrich language instruction and contextual understanding. High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written), with clear, accurate pronunciation and grammar. Master’s degree or equivalent in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; teaching certification or training is an advantage. Previous experience teaching Chinese in classroom or training settings, ideally with adult learners or professional development programs. Ability to design assessments, track learner progress, and adjust teaching strategies based on results. Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory teaching practices. Reliability and professionalism, with the ability to work on-site in Erbil and adhere to organizational policies and schedules.
