We specialize in sourcing agricultural commodities, including cocoa, coffee, sugar, and tropical fruits, for international buyers. Position Overview We are seeking a professional, bilingual English–Spanish interpreter based in the Dominican Republic to assist our U.S. management team during business meetings, supplier visits, facility inspections, and commercial discussions. The interpreter will facilitate clear and accurate communication between English-speaking and Spanish-speaking participants. This is a flexible, freelance opportunity with assignments scheduled according to business needs. Key Responsibilities Provide real-time English–Spanish interpretation during business meetings and supplier negotiations. Accompany company representatives during visits to farms, processing facilities, warehouses, and export operations. Facilitate communication with agricultural producers, exporters, logistics providers, and other business partners. Accurately communicate technical, operational, and commercial information. Assist with occasional translation of business documents and correspondence. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality during all business discussions. Qualifications Fluency in English and Spanish (required). Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in business interpretation, translation, or international trade preferred. Ability to interpret accurately during professional meetings. Familiarity with agriculture, supply chains, or logistics is a plus. Willingness to travel locally within the Dominican Republic. Professional, reliable, and punctual. Schedule & Compensation Freelance assignments scheduled as needed. Initial assignments anticipated between November 14 and December 5, 2026. Assignments may include half-day or full-day engagements. Potential opportunities for ongoing work. Compensation negotiable based on experience and assignment requirements. Business-related travel expenses reimbursed when applicable.
