Job description

Location: Shanghai / Nanjing, China ( Strictly Full-time Onsite ) Position Type: Full-time with an eligible China work visa Target Language Pairs: Translation and localization from English into one of the following target languages: Polish, Russian, Japanese, Thai, or Brazilian Portuguese . Role Overview As a Multilingual Localization Specialist , you will not just be translating words; you will be the bridge that adapts advanced technology into seamless, culturally natural experiences. Working fully onsite at our client's modern campus in Shanghai or Nanjing , you will collaborate closely with global linguists, UI/UX designers, and product development teams to deliver top-tier writing, translation, and localization solutions for a diverse range of consumer products. Key Responsibilities High-Quality Translation: Translate, review, and transcreate product content from English into your Native Language (Polish, Japanese, Thai, German, or Brazilian Portuguese). UI/UX Copywriting & Naming: Participate in UX writing, UI text optimization, product naming, and marketing/branding copy adaptation. Linguistic & UI Testing: Conduct hands-on linguistic testing on physical devices and software interfaces to ensure contextual accuracy, flawless formatting, and great user experience. Cultural Adaptation: Act as the cultural subject-matter expert to ensure products, user manuals, and marketing campaigns are intuitive and locally relevant. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with developers, designers, and project managers from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. Requirements Native speaker of one of the target languages: Polish, Japanese, Thai, German, or Portuguese (Brazilian). Professional mastery of English (the primary working language for source content). Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus but not mandatory. Education & Experience: Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in translation, software/hardware localization, editing, or UX writing is a big plus. Prior experience in the Tech, ICT, or Consumer Electronics industry is highly preferred.
