Translation Empire PK is looking for a Pahari-Pothwari Interpreter and Translator in Rawalpindi/Islamabad We are currently recruiting for Pahari-Pothwari interpreters and Translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work within various settings such as the health care, Legal, Educational, Immigration & Refugee services etc. Established in 2001 Translation Empire PK provides professional interpreting and translation services to both the government, public and private sectors across organizations around the globe. If you speak fluent English and Pahari-Pothwari language, this could be the role for you. We are currently recruiting for: Telephone Interpreters Video Interpreters Translators The Job: Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original ‘source' language, then reproducing the speech into the ‘target' language with 100% accuracy. You will: Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting Dealing with highly confidential information Liaise between the service user and service provider Requirements Requirements: Fluent in English or another language BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL Any other interpreting related qualification Must hold an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with an overall band score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in each individual subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) You will be required to sign and agree to a surety bond You will be required to sign and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement What you'll gain: Training and Development in Interpreting and Translation Hands-on experience working in live interpretation and translation settings across sectors such as healthcare, legal, education, and immigration Mentorship and guidance from experienced linguists, offering insight into real-world communication challenges and professional interpretation standards Opportunity to make a meaningful impact by bridging language gaps in critical public service environments, directly contributing to improved communication, inclusion, and support for diverse communities Work Mode: Onsite Job Location: DHA Sector F Rawalpindi
