Role Description The Russian Language Instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging online Russian language lessons to learners of various proficiency levels in a full-time remote capacity. Day-to-day tasks include planning and structuring lessons, preparing teaching materials, and using appropriate instructional methods to develop learners’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The instructor will assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching approaches based on individual needs and goals. Additional responsibilities may include collaborating with FOROZ staff to align language courses with broader educational initiatives, maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance, and participating in meetings or training sessions to continuously enhance teaching quality. The role requires a commitment to learner-centered instruction and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Qualifications Strong skills in Language Teaching and Teaching, with the ability to instruct Russian to diverse learners and proficiency levels. Experience in Lesson Planning and Education, including designing structured curricula, creating learning materials, and aligning lessons with clear learning outcomes. Background in Russian Literature or related fields, with the ability to incorporate cultural and literary content into language instruction where appropriate. Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and strong command of English for clear communication with learners and the FOROZ team. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Russian language, Linguistics, Education, or a related discipline preferred. Prior experience teaching languages online or in classroom settings, with familiarity using digital tools and virtual learning platforms. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a learner-focused and inclusive teaching approach. Demonstrated commitment to educational access, cultural sensitivity, and support for underserved communities is highly beneficial.
