Learn More: https://www.mathworks.com/company/jobs/resources/applying-and-interviewing.html#onboarding. Join our team as a Korean Localization Specialist with a strong technical mindset. In this role, you will ensure not only the linguistic quality but also the technical accuracy, consistency, and scalability of localized MathWorks content. You will work closely with engineering teams to support the localization of MATLAB® and Simulink® software, documentation, and training courses, while helping evolve localization workflows through the adoption of AI-assisted technologies, automation, and process improvements. This position places a strong emphasis on technical understanding, tooling, and automation. You will collaborate with Global Localization teams to evaluate and integrate AI-driven solutions into localization processes, helping accelerate the delivery of high-quality localized products. While AI-assisted technologies are an important part of the role, maintaining exceptional linguistic quality, technical accuracy, and customer experience remains the primary objective. MathWorks is the leading developer of mathematical computing software for designing engineered systems. Engineers and scientists worldwide rely on MATLAB®, Simulink®, and more than 130 specialized products to accelerate innovation, discovery, and development. As a member of our Globalization team, you will help deliver high-quality localized products and content that enhance the experience of customers around the world. MathWorks nurtures growth, appreciates inclusivity, encourages initiative, values teamwork, shares success, and rewards excellence. Responsibilities As a Korean Localization Specialist, you will be responsible for validating and improving localized content from both linguistic and technical perspectives. You will collaborate with global engineering and globalization teams to ensure high-quality, on-time releases, while continuously advancing our localization workflows and tools. Your responsibilities will include: Validate and review Korean localized content for software user interfaces, documentation, and training courses, ensuring linguistic quality, terminology accuracy, technical correctness, and consistency. Actively contribute to the evolution of localization workflows, including the evaluation and adoption of AI-assisted tools and automation technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability. Collaborate with other Globalization teams, such as localization teams in Japan, China, and the US, and Globalization engineering teams in the US and India, as well as various departments within the Korea office, to deliver high-quality localized content that supports business and customer needs. Develop and maintain Korean style guides, glossaries, and other linguistic assets, with attention to technical domains and emerging product areas. Research and promote efficient translation quality and style practices that reflect evolving machine translation and AI-assisted localization trends. Monitor translation quality trends, define quality improvement strategies, and provide actionable feedback and guidance to vendors, address technical and localization-related questions, and drive continuous quality improvements. Provide leadership through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and active participation in localization strategy initiatives. Assist in coordinating translation validation projects. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required. Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in Korea. Additional Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software localization, technical translation, globalization, or related fields. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English, with the ability to discuss technical concepts clearly with engineers. Expertise in Korean linguistic review, terminology management, style guide adherence, and localization quality assurance. Experience validating localized software, technical documentation, online products, or training courses. Experience with AI-assisted localization technologies, machine translation, generative AI, or AI-based authoring/review workflows. Technical background or strong technical aptitude, demonstrated by: A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related scientific field, or Hands-on experience with programming, scripting, or technical tools used in software development or localization. Experience working with global teams and external localization vendors. Familiarity with MATLAB®, Simulink®, or other technical computing or software development environments. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
