Position: Bambara Language Expert Type: Contract Location: Restricted by OFAC sanctions Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities Provide expert-level translation of content from and into Bambara, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance. Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain high-quality standards. Collaborate with AI trainers and developers to annotate, evaluate, and improve Bambara language data for machine learning. Develop and review written materials, glossaries, and linguistic resources in Bambara. Offer insights on Bambara language usage, idioms, expressions, and cultural references to optimize AI outputs. Ensure all deliverables meet the project's deadlines and quality requirements. Requirements Native or near-native proficiency in Bambara, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong background in linguistics, translation, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in editing, reviewing, or creating written content in Bambara. Ability to translate complex concepts accurately and fluently. Experience working with language data and AI platforms is highly valued.
