Job Code: 6317 Job Title: Sign language interpreters Location: Dubai Contract: 1 year and renewable Client: Government Experience: 5+ years Languages: Arabic , English Duties Providing simultaneous interpretation services between spoken language and sign language to ensure that deaf and hard-of-hearing clients can access services efficiently and effectively. Translating messages and information exchanged between clients and staff accurately and impartially to ensure clear communication and accurate meaning. Providing linguistic support to clients with disabilities throughout all stages of their journey to enhance their overall experience. Providing simultaneous interpretation services during meetings, events, conferences, workshops, and awareness programs organized by the organization. 5. Providing translation services via digital channels and video communication technologies in accordance with approved systems and procedures. Ensuring adherence to the ethics of the translation profession and maintaining the confidentiality of information and data exchanged during the performance of tasks. Preparing translation tasks in advance by reviewing the technical, administrative, and legal terminology related to the nature of the subject matter. Employing sign language according to approved professional standards to ensure high-quality communication with clients. Contributing to the preparation and review of awareness and guidance materials presented in sign language to ensure their clarity and suitability for the target audience. 10. Coordinating with relevant organizational units to provide translation services according to work requirements and service delivery priorities. Contributing to the development and improvement of services provided to people with disabilities, thereby enhancing their access to government services. Participating in the preparation and implementation of initiatives and programs aimed at promoting inclusivity and accessibility. Submitting development proposals aimed at raising the efficiency of translation services and improving customer experience. Preparing periodic reports and statistics related to translation services, analyzing their results, and submitting relevant recommendations. Documenting translation requests and services provided in accordance with approved regulations and procedures. 16. Providing technical support and advice to various departments regarding effective communication mechanisms with deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. Contributing to the dissemination of a culture of inclusion and enhancing institutional awareness of practices that support the empowerment of people with disabilities. Utilizing approved electronic systems and applications to efficiently complete tasks and manage translation requests.
