Translators (3 Positions)

The Bible Society of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons on contract for its Bono Translation Project. The position is a full time job and successful applicants will be required to stay in the Brong Ahafo for the duration of the project. The successful applicants will work as a team and will be responsible for producing accurate, faithful and meaningful translation of the Bible into the Bono language. Qualification Required & Experience The Applicants Must Have: Degree in Theology with specialization in Biblical Studies; Good knowledge in Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic (added advantage); Experience in translation work; Fluency in Bono language and should be a native speaker Bono linguistics, Ability to speak and write Bono; Strong Christian Commitment with good standing in Church and Community; Ability to relate to people at all levels; Proficiency in computer software programmes; (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and familiarity with email and the Internet.
